Urban Water Technology Graduate School

The Urban Water Technology Graduate School (UrbanWaterTech) was founded in January 2007 as a collaboration between the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and Aalborg University (AAU). It serves as a forum for PhD students working with technologies within the urban water cycle.

UrbanWaterTech offers a professional framework for PhD students, universities, utility companies, consultants, technology providers, public research institutions and authorities, where the participants can develop shared professional outlooks and discuss future research initiatives.

The main objectives of UrbanWaterTech are to serve as:
  •  A forum to educate PhD candidates using common system approaches, methods and models by organising PhD courses, seminars, guest lectures, etc.
  •  A professional framework for PhD students, companies and universities where the participants can develop shared professional outlooks and discuss future research initiatives
  • An ”incubator” for specialists within the urban water technology field
  • A vehicle for strengthening the R&D co-operation between companies and university partners
The graduate school and six UrbanWaterTech scholarships are financed by The Danish Research Agency, the involved universities and six industry partners:
